DFK Blog Series 6
DFK International Executive Director Martin Sharp visited DFK ANZ members in Melbourne on Friday 26 May en-route to the DFK ANZ annual conference to be held in Hamilton Island the following week.
First stop was at the offices of DFK Benjamin King Money in Camberwell, where managing partner Cheree Woolcock together with partners Tim Kelleher, Terry Stramotas and Brent McCartney hosted Martin at a special morning tea break where they were joined by members of the staff. The tea break was a fund-raising activity in aid of Cancer Care and part of “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea” that officially took place across the country the previous day. Staff brought to the office a magnificent spread of cakes and other culinary delights, including Australian favourites such as the delicious lamington cake, with the firm making a donation of $500 to this worthy cause. DFK Benjamin King Money has been a member of DFK since 2011 and has been a very active participant at national, regional and international level, where Cheree, Terry and Tim have been regular participants at conferences around the world. The firm is a long-established practice has strength in international tax, audit, accounting and a wide range of business and personal financial services, serving clients across the city and around the State of Victoria.
Next stop was to meet partners at DFK ANZ’s newest member firm Nugents Group. Martin met partners Gary Nugent, Dario Gamba, Charles Knight and Chris Belleville at their spectacularly located riverside offices in Melbourne’s Central Business District. Although relatively new to DFK, the firm has a strong connection with DFK International through partner Dario Gamba who has been a long-standing member of the international tax committee and a regular attendee at DFK conferences in North America, EMEA and around the world.
