New managing partner for Gooding Partners

Gooding Partners is pleased to announce that Stephen Bushell has been appointed as the new Managing Partner of the firm effective 1 July 2015. He succeeds Dalton Gooding, who is one of the founding Partners of the firm and has had management responsibility of the firm from its inception in March 1998 to present. Dalton will remain as a Senior Partner of the firm.

Under Dalton’s leadership, Gooding Partners has grown from a 6 person firm to almost 50 staff over the past 18 years and continues to operate as a high quality, boutique accounting firm in the Perth CBD servicing a wide range of high net worth businesses and family offices in the SME market together with many foreign companies operating in Western Australia.

Stephen joined Gooding Partners in March 1998 having previously worked with Dalton for 11 years at Ernst & Young, now EY. Stephen has been a Partner of Gooding Partners for the past 15 years. He has a broad range of accounting, taxation and commercial experience in the SME market, servicing his clients across a diverse range of industries.

Dalton said this was a very exciting time for Gooding Partners and while he continues to work as hard as ever, it is also very important to invest in and promote the younger generations coming up through the firm to ensure it continues to grow for many years to come. “It is with great pleasure that I announce Stephen’s promotion to Managing Partner. Stephen has been with me for the past 29 years, starting as a 17 year old under graduate and I have strong belief Stephen will step into the Managing Partner role with confidence and commitment.”

Gooding Partners objective is to remain at the forefront of the accounting profession in Western Australia, providing clients with a high level of quality and pro-active service. The firm offers a full range of business services including taxation, accounting and corporate advisory services.
