Record turnout for DFK UK&I
All 18 member firms of DFK UK & Ireland were represented at the national group’s annual conference in Glasgow, making it the highest attendance on record.
Peter Winter, who is six months into his chairmanship of DFK UK & Ireland, said he was greatly encouraged by both the high levels of attendance and engagement.
“It was really pleasing to see the largest attendance but also such strong representation from our member firms and high levels of engagement over the three days of the conference,” he said.
“It is part of our strategy to expand participation at conferences and next year, we are combining our young professionals conference with our annual conference so we are hoping to have significantly more people attending next September.”
The conference, hosted by Alexander Sloan at Hilton Glasgow, was also attended by seven delegates from DFK International including President Roland Graf and Executive Director Martin Sharp.
The future of accounting in the fast-changing digital age was a strong theme of the conference, with delegates discussing the impact of new technologies.
Crowleys DFK was awarded DFK UK & Ireland Firm of the Year, as voted for by fellow members.
Brown Butler will host next year’s annual conference in Leeds, from September 25 to 27, to coincide with its centenary celebrations.
